September 2019 Newsletter

Newsletters

29 September, 2019

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Spring and we have already had some lovely warm days here in Victoria!

On our farm in Elaine, the Wisteria is beginning to flower a cascade of happy purple. The Greenhouse is coming along and we have just installed the first few panels of glass! The broccoli is sprouting, we have an abundance of spinach, silver beet, kale and lettuce. We are now eagerly awaiting the beetroot, cabbage and cauliflower!

We pruned the grapes and roses and planted new cuttings in pots. I have watered Seasol on all of the plants to aid them in their flowering and growth spurt. I always tell people that Seaweed is the number one plant food and if it’s great for plants how much more so do our human bodies require it for cellular health!

So … the plants drink Seasol whilst I sip on Body Balance, what I believe to be the Crown Jewel of Seaweed beverages, due to the very fact that it is a whole food drink containing over 126 nutrients and uniquely bioavailable to our bodies.

Welcome to those who are new to this Newsletter and we have had several new people join what I now call “The Body Balance Revolution“ this month! You have come here because you value your health and because something made you curious about the benefits of Seaweed and Aloe!

Just so you are aware, each cell of your body, 70-100 trillion of them, has a specific job to do and each must be able to communicate one to one in order for your body to function properly as a whole. To perform optimally, the body relies on specific nutrients that coat each cell and help them build proteins necessary for cell to cell communication.

Body Balance, our Sea vegetable and Aloe drink delivers 8 essential glyconutrients, essential saccharides, which are not readily available in our diets. These essential glyconutrients work to improve cell to cell communication, keep our hormones in balance, help blood clot normally and support cell structure and function. Just to highlight the benefits of these glyconutrients, I’ll focus on a few of these below today.

Fucose – Strengthens the immune system, supports nerve transmission, skin function, reproductive system.

Mannose – Helps immune function, helps defend against microbial invaders and has a natural anti-inflammatory effect.

Galactose – Promotes wound healing, increases calcium absorption.

N-Acetylneuraminic acid – this abounds too in mothers breast milk, has remarkable effect on brain growth and function. Antiviral.

N-Acetylglucosamine – helps rebuild and regenerate damaged cartilage, deficiency leads to gastrointestinal disorders.

N-Acetyl galactosamine – May inhibit growth of some tumours, anti-inflammatory and helps support heart cells.

Cell to Cell communication is VITAL to our wellbeing. If the cells are not in communication, autoimmune disorders can develop and the immune system attacks healthy tissue, mistaking it for a microbial invader or a hostile force. In 1999, scientist Gunter Blobel won the Nobel prize for discovering that the human body’s cellular communication network is based on some special nutrients.

How is it possible for trillions of cells to communicate? What body system could manage such a complex operation? What is controlling the body’s nutritional switchboard?

The answer is these 8 essential glyconutrients that are responsible for cell to cell communication, several of which I have highlighted above!

BODY BALANCE with its blend of 9 Sea veggies and Aloe Vera contains ALL of these, the messaging system that allows all cells to communicate to one another. So, you can feel confident when you are taking your glass a day, that your body will recognise invaders and pathogens and signal other parts of the body to destroy them, just like little Packmen!! The result is a healthy functioning immune system and efficient messaging in the body.

I’m always in awe about the human body and how cells can regenerate when you give it the right physical, spiritual and emotional food.

As a Journey Practitioner, I am aware that cells also store trauma. The work I facilitate uncovers painful cell memories stored in the body. Through a process of uncovering cell memories, inner child work, gaining deeper wisdom around events that took place and finally, forgiveness, the cells release the trauma. As this occurs, degenerative cells let go of the old consciousness and in its place, regenerative cells are born, carrying the fresh, healthy consciousness forward. In this way the body heals as it releases old patterns and beliefs. (For more info on this process please see my website www.awakenedpresencewellness.com.au)

I find that when my clients do the Journey Method AND they start drinking Body Balance, the cells really begin to function optimally as both emotional and physical healing can take place and cells begin to communicate in a healthy way.

As cells take approx. 90 days to regenerate, we have a SPECIAL OFFER till September 30 for those of you who would like to try a 4-pack of Body Balance for 3 months. If you order in September, you will receive free shipping with your October order (Up to $15 savings) and in your November order, you will receive as a bonus thank you gift, 15 sticks of our Kaos Gold iZing (a $45 value), our sugar free, healthy alternative, energy drink, great for your teenagers or if you need an extra lift!

I love hearing from you all so please feel free to call or text me on 0411 208 288 if you have any questions or to place your first order.

Looking forward to serving you to better health!

In Gratitude,

25 June, 2019

Hi Everyone,

I hardly believe it’s mid-June already and we are half way through the year!

Welcome to all of you who are new to my newsletter. I really appreciate that you care about your health and that somehow you were led to my site!

Time seems to be speeding up and this is why it’s so important for me to be present and enjoy the little pleasures in life as time is fleeting… passing us by…. as William Blake says …

“He who kisses the joy as it flies
lives in eternity’s sunrise.”

So vital to ‘kiss the joy as it flies’ and enjoy the offering that each day on our precious planet delivers!

We have been busy painting our greenhouse and fortunate even in the midst of winter, to have some glorious sunny days! We are turning the soil and preparing to plant broccoli. We have picked all our pumpkins and the garden is delighting us with rocket, kale, lettuce and capsicum. I am sitting in front of the log fire as I write to you after spending the afternoon in the woods collecting firewood…

As always, I write about an aspect of Body Balance that you may not be aware of. It’s so important today to be proactive about our health and do something simple on a daily basis that allows us to feel vital and alive. So many health issues can be alleviated with the correct blend of bioavailable trace minerals A large component of what makes up our proprietary blend, Body Balance, is Aloe Vera.

Aloe Vera contains over 200 biologically active, naturally occurring constituents, which include polysaccharides, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids and minerals.

Aloe Vera was known to the Egyptians as the plant of immortality for its wide array of healing properties. Though Aloe is known for its topical use, it is actually even more beneficial to your body when taken internally.

Aloe Vera has loads of minerals including calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium and manganese. These minerals work together to boost metabolic pathways.

Aloe Vera contains important enzymes like amylase and lipase which can aid in digestion by breaking down fat and sugar molecules. One molecule in particular, Bradykinase helps to reduce inflammation.

One study has shown that Aloe Vera actually contains vitamin B 12, as I mentioned in one of my previous newsletters. This is important for many reasons. Firstly, B12 is required for the production of red blood cells. Another reason is that vegetarians often don’t get enough B12 in their diet, so by adding a liquid whole food such as Body Balance, the nutritional gaps missing in the diet such as having adequate amounts of B12 are filled. Other studies have shown that taking Aloe can make vitamin B12 more bioavailable, meaning the body can more easily absorb and utilise it, therefore helping to prevent deficiency.

Aloe Vera also contains 20 of the 22 essential amino acids required by the human body. It also contains salicylic acid, which fights inflammation and bacteria.

Aside from being an excellent body cleanser, removing toxic matter from the stomach, kidneys, spleen, bladder, liver and colon, Aloe also offers effective relief from ailments such as indigestion, stomach upset, ulcers and gut inflammation. It also strengthens the digestive tract and alleviates joint inflammation, making it a great option for arthritis sufferers to include in their daily nutritional regime.

Aloe also acts as a carrier, drawing nutrients from the food you eat, from the 9 seaweeds in Body Balance directly into our cells.

I have personally used Body Balance topically on sunburn, cuts, even directly onto my face as face mist! I know some men who use it after shaving to soothe their skin. I have used it on blisters, itchy skin and even cold sores!

I had a lady call me briefly the other day who has been using Body Balance for a while. She called me to thank me and to let me know how much her gut issues have eased since she has been on the juice!

So, in service to you I write this as an invitation for you to give your body what it needs. I call it the simple ‘One drink and you’re done method’.

‘An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied’

Enjoy the rest of June and I’ll be in touch next month!

In Gratitude,

25 March, 2019

Hi Everyone,

I’m sitting in my living room writing to you in front our first log fire for Winter! A windy day up here at the farm and how grateful am I to be able to sit here in my dressing gown on “Paperwork Monday” when many others are out working or commuting in the wind, rain and cold.

I won’t be out in the garden today, brrrr, however to keep you up to date, I saw the first Cauliflower florets emerge so we will be having lots of Cauliflower soup and Cauliflower bake over the winter to look forward to!

The pumpkins are growing and getting close to harvesting, zucchinis, tomatoes and lettuce are still going strong and I made two batches of tomato relish this month to be savoured throughout the colder months to come!

I love the change of seasons, I feel an unexplained excitement watching the lightning, hearing the roaring wind and listening to the rain on the rooftop. It’s renewal energy. It’s life replenishing itself. It will be such a relief as more rain falls and the dams fill up and the grass becomes lush and green once again.

As the weather changes, I’m starting to journal again and have gone back to reading about nutrition which I am so passionate about!

When I completed my course in Health and Nutrition many years ago, I was fascinated by the ways in which certain herbs and minerals were essential to the human body and optimal health.

I am particularly fascinated by Iodine at the moment and am reading a book by Dr David Derry called Breast Cancer and Iodine.

He proposes that Iodine appears to be the least understood important element making up the body fluids and cells of humans. He says that the benefits of Iodine in the body have not been properly researched due to lack of research funds other than that iodine makes thyroid hormone and it serves as an excellent antiseptic.

Dr Derry proposes primarily that iodine is the trigger mechanism for apoptosis (the process of the natural death of cells) and the main surveillance mechanism for abnormal cells in the body. Iodine triggers the death of cells which are abnormal or which have normal programmed death as part of their life cycle. This is part of a general thesis that iodine and thyroid hormone act as a team to provide a constant surveillance against abnormal cell development, chemicals that are carcinogenic and the spread of cancer cells within the body.

Dr Derry also says that Iodine protects against abnormal growth of bacteria in the stomach (helicobacter pylori is the most clinically significant). Iodine can coat incoming allergic proteins to make them non-allergic, which likely also applies to the internal equivalent called autoimmune disease. So adequate Iodine in the body not only prevents the chances of getting an auto immune disease but allows cancer cells to destroy themselves through this process of APOPTOSIS!

Very impressive mineral indeed!!

Iodine in the stomach also deactivates all biological and most chemical poisons. Dr Derry confirms what we already know, that significant iodine concentrations occur in seaweed! He continues to say that Japan is extraordinary in that it has the lowest rates of cervical cancer in the world. Japanese women, who consume the highest amounts of iodine per woman in the world, have the lowest rate of stillbirth and perinatal and infant mortality. Also, among the folklore of Japanese mothers is the notion that seaweed will prevent cancer. The Japanese have one of the lowest breast cancer, prostate cancer and thyroid cancer rates and only lately have had a small increase in the breast cancer rates due to the Westernisation of their diet.

So, a healthy diet of organic, fresh food and vegetables is so vital to radiant health. However, at a time when soils are still depleted and due to today’s farming practices, we still MUST SUPPLEMENT.

What better way to get a plethora of nutrients into your body in a whole food, ionic, bioavailable form, than drinking a glass of Body Balance daily! Body balance fills all the nutritional gaps missing in your diet to ensure that as you age, you will stay healthy, in fact feel even more vital and healthy as time goes on, right into your wisdom years! I can certainly say that I feel better now in my fifties than I did in my twenties!

I love sharing information about health and believe in administering preventative medicine….

If you can take on board the possibility that an increased susceptibility to cancer occurs in those with a poor thyroid function, then why wouldn’t you take some steps to maintain a good level of thyroid activity by ensuring iodine is available in the right quantities in your body…especially in midlife when there is a natural tendency for iodine levels to fall. It’s just a no-brainer!

So ….’If it is to be, it is up to me’.

Stay warm!

In gratitude,

26 February, 2019

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for skipping my January Newsletter! I was totally in holiday mode with eight birthdays in the family over January and February, (including my own!) as well as the Engagement of Mark’s daughter on our property two weeks ago!

With such a dry summer here in Elaine, our job was to keep the lawns green for the big day and as you can see from the photos, we did a ripper job.

I made great plum jam and learned to be EXTREMELY creative with zucchini recipes! Tomatoes are in endless supply too at the moment and I would appreciate some recipes for relish if any of you have a good one!

I’m finding myself drinking lots of Body Balance this month, some days up to 240 ml and other days nearly half a bottle!!! My body just seems to be soaking it up. Did you know that Nori, one of the seaweeds in Body Balance yields twice the amount of Vitamin C as tangerines and retains its vitamin C profile even when heated? It also contains daily recommended amounts of Vitamin A, B1 and B2. No wonder I’m soaking it all up with the amount of activity going on in our lives, we are definitely needing the extra nutritional support. Even Mark has been drinking more over the past few weeks! The secret is always trusting your body and allowing it to guide you. So, when I have a craving for extra Body Balance, I know I am depleted somewhere and allow myself to drink more.

I have also noticed that I didn’t gain weight over the holiday season, in fact I lost about a kilo! Let’s talk a little about Body Balance and weight loss!

People often tell me that they lose weight when they are taking Body Balance regularly and they ask me why this is.

There are many reasons for this.

Firstly, toxins are stored in our fat cells. Because seaweed is a detoxifier and chelator and draws out heavy metals from our cells, one of the first things people notice is they lose weight as the toxins are released. The fat cells release these toxins and shrink. Then there are seaweeds such as Dulse, that balance the thyroid gland. An underactive thyroid produces weight gain so as the thyroid starts to function properly and efficiently, weight is no longer stored.

There is Chromium too in Body Balance that reduces sugar cravings so you may notice you are not going for the sweets (high in sugar and fat) as much and starting to make healthier food choices.

Norwegian Kelp is another winner and abundant in Body Balance. Not only does Norwegian Kelp alone contain 60 trace minerals, 12 vitamins and 20 essential amino acids, it has also been used to treat a variety of ailments including arthritis pain, liver function, heart disease, high cholesterol, constipation and of course WEIGHT LOSS!

Vanadium and Zinc are two other important minerals in Body Balance that we need to avoid obesity and weight gain.

Aloe Vera of course aids in peristalsis and is known to heal and support the GI tract and keep you regular.

So, when you take your liquid gold daily, as your body requires it, different for each person, you may begin to notice that your body shape starts to change in a positive way for you. For those of you who need to gain weight, there is a mysterious way in which this will happen for you too!

Enjoy these last warm days and I’ll connect with you next month!

Till next time,
In gratitude,

26 December, 2018

Happy Holidays everyone!!

Trust you are having a relaxing time between Christmas and the beginning of 2019!

What can I say but that I truly made the most of December which started out with our annual Lifeforce retreat this year at the Dandenong’s on the first weekend of the month.

Our newest product Vital Spark was launched and I have been trialling it for nearly a month now! As an addition to Body Balance, Vital Spark is what’s referred to as ‘baseline nutrition’, so something to drink on a daily basis. Vital Spark has been designed especially for cardiovascular and brain health. It is Anti- inflammatory, supports anti- aging, and maintains healthy blood pressure and blood vessel health. It is especially great for endurance and support with exercise. I can honestly say that I have been walking longer, swimming effortlessly doing more strokes than ever and feeling happier, energised and alert each day and sleeping well without waking! I seem to want to eat less too as somehow, I am satisfied. I will find out what it is in the product that allows for this and let you know in the coming newsletters.

You should be able to order Vital Spark in February, perhaps even earlier. Don’t worry, I will give you the heads up when it’s available! Meanwhile just keep swigging Body Balance! If you are depleted in trace minerals, you will feel the effects in the same way. Just as Vital Spark is taking me to another level in health, Body Balance will do the same for you! Honour your body and it will be grateful and serve you well!

The next couple of weeks in December saw our veggies growing in leaps and bounds!! We are no longer buying lettuce from the shops as we have rocket and four other varieties that keep on keeping on! The tomatoes are green and prolific and the zucchinis and pumpkins are flowering!!

All very exciting!! I now know the difference between a male and female zucchini flower!!! I just planted Broccoli and Cauliflower a couple of weeks ago too. The monarch butterflies are everywhere, bees are pollinating and the farm has been teeming with life!!!

Then my daughter Simi graduated from Journalism which was a proud mama day for me and a great milestone for her! My older daughter Alana and her partner Elliot had their rescue dog Nellie, feature in a new coffee table book! I have placed a request for a copy!

We bought a new tractor, Mark and his dad built a state-of-the-art shearing shed within 2 weeks, sheep were shorn two days ago and I was initiated as a ‘roustabout ‘, sweeping the wool and sorting the bits and pieces! (So much for my swearing that I would never do sheep!!!) A fun day had by all involved and Mark even said I sported a natural glow!

Not to mention a wonderful Christmas day on the farm, a garden party where family came together, each contributing a dish, that left us in food coma by the end of the evening! A few even slept over as we partied into the night!

So now as we are about to enter a NEW year, I want to express my gratitude to you all for sticking around, reading my newsletters, trusting me and the Lifeforce product line and for inspiring me to write about the shenanigans that go with this chosen country life!

I will share with you what I have been doing for many years on New Year’s Day. Inspired by Brandon Bays, who wrote the book, The Journey (I am also a Journey Practitioner), I take a journal and I vision quest. I ask two questions, stay quiet after each one and write, stream of consciousness style.

1) What am I most grateful for? (I write and write and write everything I am grateful for in my life, pages and pages!!!

2) What do I want to create in my life in the coming year? (in my relationship, my family life, my health, my finances, my spiritual life, adventures, fun, travel, growth, creativity etc)

This is a great way for me to bring in the New Year and as it has been said before, take one step towards grace, your health, your wellbeing, your dreams AND it will take a thousand steps towards you!!!

Have a relaxing last few days of 2018 and may 2019 shower you all in blessings, great health, love, joy, fun and abundance in all areas of your lives!

Till next time,
In gratitude,

26 November, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Another month gone by!!

Been a busy one in the garden as we prepared the garden beds with soil and compost and planted an assortment of vegetables, pumpkin, zucchini, corn, peas, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber and onions.

It’s been great eating our own lettuce that self-sowed from last year’s crop, combining it with fresh basil and mint from the garden in our salads!

Looking forward to the four varieties of tomatoes planted … we should literally be tasting the “fruits” of our labour in early January! Looking forward!

Last week saw us camping by the Murray River, an annual escape every second weekend in November … we saw a koala climbing down a tree and walking straight past our tent. I read Murray Bail’s novel, Eucalyptus and we made ourselves a fine campfire roast with vegetables and feasted to Bob Dylan serenading us in the background.

I was talking to a vegetarian recently who was telling me how grateful she was to have found Body Balance for its vitamin B12 content. So many vegetarians are low on vitamin B12 and deficiency may lead to anaemia, symptoms being heart palpitations, lack of red blood cells and haemoglobin in the blood. When cells aren’t getting enough oxygen, the heart has to pump harder, creating stress in the body. B12 is also necessary for keeping our nerves healthy, supporting the production of DNA and maintaining normal brain function. Generally, lack of Vitamin B12 causes overall tiredness!!

B12 also doesn’t occur naturally in the body so you have to get it from an outside source. If you are NOT a vegetarian, you can usually meet most of your B12 needs by eating sardines, beef, tuna, fortified yeast, trout, animal liver, some shellfish and eggs.

So, the good news for vegetarians is that Kelp, Wakame and Nori contain vitamin B12 all found in Body Balance, combined with a soup of co-factors that help it absorb in the body. What I also found interesting is that vitamin B12 is required in the production of the feel-good chemicals, Dopamine and Serotonin! No wonder so many people call Body Balance their Happy Juice!!

So, if you are a vegetarian yourself or if you have vegetarian friends, please pass on this information and let them know about the overall nutritional benefits of this liquid gold especially if they find they are tired or anaemic.

This Friday we are heading off to the Dandenong’s for our annual Lifeforce Retreat! I am so looking forward to catching up with my colleagues, one woman has been using these products for nearly 20 Years!!!

You are welcome to join us at A Country Place at 11am, Saturday December 1, to listen to my good friend and colleague, Doctor of Chinese Medicine, Carolina Gonzalez, talk about the benefits of Body Balance and what she has experienced with clients in her practice. This will be followed by lunch! If you would like to come along and meet us personally, we would love to share this time with you in tranquil, country surroundings. The cost for the talk and lunch is $35 however bookings are essential for catering purposes so do text me on 0411 208 288 if you feel called to come along!

By the way, our protein powder, Amino Charge is on special till 30 November at 30% off at $58.40 AUS!! This is for a whopping 1050-gram container so great value!! This is the protein powder I use in my shake I told you about last month!

Gluten and soy free and Non-GMO, Amino Charge is made from the highest quality, specially selected and most concentrated whey available on the market (at 80% protein!) This powder contains protein sourced ONLY from dairy cows fed a diet that includes natural grass and other forage. These cows have NEVER been injected with artificial hormones, steroids, growth enhancers or antibiotics. The Vanilla flavour tastes totally wholesome and you will love it in your smoothies for weight maintenance or building muscle mass!!

The sun is out now so I’m off to weed the rose garden!!

Till next time,
In gratitude,
